Great newsletter, as always!

Such a beautiful tribute to your neighbor Lee! He sounded like an incredible human. Also, you inspired me to try Anki!

Hugs to you and C!

Yup, Lee was one of those special humans. Sad to see him go and (like I said) inspired by the path he chose.

HEAR HEAR TO ANKI. It can feel intimidating, but once you get rolling, it's a catchall for everything you want to learn and the results are so, so gratifying.

I'm sorry about Lee. I'm glad you wrote about it. Also, "Becoming Mortal" is so so good! I wish that book was around when my dad was ill/dying. It would have helped our family so much.

And yes, to Anki! I'm starting to build my own deck. Excited to see if it works for me!

Ah, cool that you liked "Becoming Mortal." So much wisdom in that book.

With Anki, I recommend starting with a frequency-ordered deck that someone else created. Then create sentences with cards that you keep forgetting or anything new that you're adding. It can feel like a big lift out of the gate, but sooo many people swear by it! Hope you love it as much as I have.

Thanks! Great advice. I'll look up other decks this week. :)
